This piece used to hang in my gym in Washington, DC. When I was hired by Arena Stage, I bought it to celebrate and hung it in my office there for nearly two years. Now it follows me around and I love it. Sometimes art makes the best markers in our lives, whether it’s a painting, a song we write for a particular moment or a play or musical performance we remember as “that time when…”
